How we handle evidence
Research standards
Monthwell is a product concept in development. These are the rules we hold ourselves to when we write about research.
- 01
Cite the original study or systematic review
Every statistic on this site links to the primary publication or a peer-reviewed systematic review, not to a summary of a summary.
- 02
Distinguish ingredient research from product research
Studies of ginger preparations are not studies of our future product. We say so wherever a study is referenced.
- 03
Describe population, preparation, dose, and limitations
A number without its context is misleading. We include who was studied, what they took, and what the authors flagged as a limitation.
- 04
Never convert one study's result into a guaranteed outcome
We do not translate published findings into promises about how anyone will feel.
- 05
Update content as stronger evidence becomes available
Articles carry a last-reviewed date and are revised when the evidence base changes.
