Ginger, built around your period
Your period hurts.
Your options shouldn't feel so limited.
When cramps arrive, the routine can feel frustratingly familiar: lose part of the day, reach for another dose of pain medication, or try to piece together a natural option that may — or may not — fit the moment.
Monthwell is developing a research-informed, ginger-based formula specifically for menstrual comfort and a more practical monthly routine.

The monthly tradeoff
When “just take something” doesn't feel like a complete answer.
- 01
The pain interrupts your life
Plans, meetings, workouts, sleep — cramps have a way of deciding what the day looks like.
- 02
You keep reaching for the same option
Over-the-counter medication can be useful, but some people want additional ways to support menstrual comfort — not simply another pill.
- 03
Natural options feel scattered
Ginger tea, powders, capsules, complicated blends: the options exist, but few are designed around a clear period-specific routine.
Severe, new, or worsening menstrual pain can have an underlying cause and deserves evaluation by a qualified healthcare professional.
Why this, why now
Not just ginger in a prettier bottle.
Ginger is widely available — but most ginger supplements were not designed around periods. We're exploring a formulation that brings together the right ginger form, a practical serving, thoughtful timing, and transparent sourcing in one monthly ritual.
Period-specific
Developed around menstrual comfort rather than general-purpose supplementation.
Practical
Exploring concentrated and standardized forms that may reduce the inconvenience of repeated dosing.
Transparent
No mystery “proprietary blend.” The finished formula and serving will be clearly disclosed.
Evidence-led
Formulation and claims will be guided by published research and qualified professional review.
The formula is currently in development. Join the waitlist to follow the process and help shape what we launch.
The concept
Built for the days you know are coming.
- 01
Know your pattern
Period timing and symptoms vary. The intended routine will be simple enough to use around the part of your cycle when you need support.
- 02
Follow one clear protocol
No guessing between teas, powders, and unlabeled ginger products. The finished product will include transparent serving and timing guidance.
- 03
Make the month more manageable
The goal is a convenient, consistent ritual designed to support menstrual comfort — without asking you to rebuild your entire wellness routine.
Exact serving, timing, and formulation are still being determined with manufacturing and compliance partners.
What the research actually says
Ginger has been studied for menstrual pain. The details matter.
Early clinical research suggests oral ginger may help with primary dysmenorrhea, the medical term for period pain. However, studies have used different preparations, doses, and schedules, and many have been relatively small. Research on ginger does not mean this future product has been clinically tested.
Published reviews have reported that primary dysmenorrhea affects approximately 45% to 95% of menstruating women, depending on the population and definition used.

- Cite the original study or systematic review.

What we're solving
The research protocol isn't always the easiest real-life routine.
Some ginger studies have used multiple doses throughout the day. That may be difficult to remember — especially when you're already uncomfortable. We're investigating whether a thoughtfully selected ginger form can deliver a simpler experience while remaining honest about the evidence.
Typical experience
- General-purpose ginger
- Unclear period-specific timing
- Multiple products or dosing decisions
- Little explanation of the evidence
What we're developing
- A menstrual-wellness use case
- One clearly explained protocol
- A more convenient serving, if the evidence and formulation support it
- Transparent sourcing, formulation, and research context
Why I'm building Monthwell
Period pain is common. Finding a thoughtful option shouldn't be this confusing.
I started exploring Monthwell after seeing the same frustrating gap again and again: people want credible, convenient ways to support menstrual comfort, but the natural options available can feel generic, difficult to evaluate, or disconnected from the actual period experience.
Ginger has been studied for menstrual discomfort, yet most ginger products were never designed around a clear monthly routine. Monthwell is my attempt to investigate whether that experience can be made more practical, transparent, and trustworthy.
The formula is not finished, and I don't want to pretend every answer has already been decided. I'm building the first version with published research, qualified professional input, and feedback from the people who may ultimately use it.

Questions
What we can — and can't — tell you yet.
Is the product available yet?
No. Monthwell is currently in development. Waitlist members will receive formulation updates and first access if and when the product launches.
What will be in it?
The concept is centered on a ginger-based formula for menstrual comfort. The exact ginger form, serving, and any complementary ingredients are still being evaluated.
Is this product clinically tested?
No. Published studies have evaluated different ginger preparations for primary dysmenorrhea. Those studies do not establish that this future product will produce the same results.
Is it intended to replace pain medication?
No. We are developing an additional menstrual-wellness option, not instructing anyone to stop medication or disregard medical advice.
Is ginger appropriate for everyone?
No supplement is right for everyone. Ginger may cause gastrointestinal symptoms and may interact with certain medications or medical conditions. The final product will include appropriate warnings. Consult a qualified healthcare professional if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, preparing for surgery, or managing a health condition.
When should period pain be evaluated?
New, severe, worsening, or disruptive menstrual pain should be discussed with a qualified healthcare professional. A supplement should not be used to delay appropriate evaluation.
When will it launch?
We do not have a confirmed launch date yet. Waitlist members will be the first to know.
